API

Prices come only from each vendor's official pricing pages, checked daily. Schema version 1. Checked Oct 20, 2026.

Endpoints

• /api/plans.json — every tool and plan.
• /api/tools/{slug}.json — one tool. Example: ChatGPT.
• /api/changes.json — published changes.

Responses are JSON, UTF-8, and cached for one hour. Cross-origin GET is allowed. Reuse needs the attribution text, the site URL, and the CC BY 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).

Dataset fields

Every response starts with these fields.

• schema_version — this document, currently 1.
• attribution — text, url, and requirement.
• license and license_url.
• dataset_version — the date of this dataset.
• currency — USD.
• contact — https://tierfacts.com/about.
• policy — Prices come only from each vendor's official pricing pages, checked daily.

Tool fields

• slug
• name
• vendor
• official_pricing_url
• last_checked — date only, YYYY-MM-DD.
• status — verified, checking, or changed.
• public_note — one short sentence, only when there is something to say.
• plans — the list below.

Plan fields

• name
• audience — individual, team, enterprise, or api.
• price_monthly_usd and price_annual_usd — omitted when the page did not list that price.
• price_annual_effective_monthly_usd — the effective monthly rate the page itself states for annual billing. Omitted when the page did not state it. It is not calculated from an annual total.
• per_seat — true when the price is per seat.
• per_seat_min_seats — minimum seats the page states.
• trial_days — free-trial length, only when the page states a number of days.
• discounts — education, student, startup, or nonprofit offers, each with type and source_url.
• monthly_billing, annual_billing, and seat_billing — not_offered when the page was checked and that option is absent. Omitted means checking, unless a price field already lists it.
• limits — structured rows with metric, amount, unit, and period.
• limits_summary — one readable line.
• status — verified, checking, or changed.
• source_url — the official page for that plan.

Change fields

• date — YYYY-MM-DD.
• tool and slug.
• plan — omitted when the change is not tied to one plan.
• previous and current.
• source_url.

A missing field means that value was not on the official page. Partner and affiliate programs are not in this API. Questions go to contact.
